Cigarrest to Stop Smoking in 7 Days!

My Top 5 Websites for Smoking Cessation

When I first decided to quit smoking almost 5 years ago, I wasn't sure where to turn for support and information. I felt like a junkie thirsting  for my fix of  knowledge on the computer as I desperately tried to remain smoke free. But there is so much information out there I wasted a lot of time on sites that gave me a big run around with not much helpful information. Below are the websites that really helped me and what I like about each one. I hope this helps save you time and aids you on your quit.

1. Quitnet.com - I am not sure if I would have made it through my quit without this site. I loved being able to see how long I had been smoke free, how many cigarettes I didn't smoke, and how much time I added to my life by not smoking. Most important for me though was the community. Being able to read about other people's quits helped me a lot. I knew I wasn't alone with my struggle, cravings, or dark thoughts.

2. Whyquit.com - Here I learned all about my friend, the cigarette. The only friend who will eventually kill you. I always tuned out all the information about smoking. This puts it all out there in detail. If you are serious about wanting to smoke, reading the information on this site will really open your eyes about what cigarettes do to your body.

3. Thetruth.com - Truth.com is fun and interactive. There are games like Type or Die where it shows how frequently someone dies from smoking, videos and facts to encourage you to stop smoking.

4. Smokefree.gov - Helpful information about depression, benefits of quitting, a quit guide and the opportunity to talk to experts about smoking.

5. Woman's Health. Gov - Their section for smoking cessation is easy to read and provides ways to quit, helpful resources for additional information on the effects smoking has on the body and related news.

These 5 websites contain a lot of helpful tools to aid your quit. With the knowledge and support found in the pages of these websites, you are off to a good start. And with your determination, I am sure you will succeed! Just remember, if you don't find what you need in one spot or one method you use to quit, try another. You can do it!

Good luck!
